See how customer success inherits the account story, identifies risk and expansion signals, and acts with the full context in view.
What this course covers
Customer success work fails quietly. Nobody notices the account that stopped engaging until the renewal is thirty days out, and by then the conversation is a negotiation rather than a relationship. This course covers the two motions the Customer agent carries: surfacing risk while it is still fixable, and finding expansion signals in accounts you already have.
Most of it is about reading: the Customers surface, the renewal book and the account map, because the judgment in this work is yours and the agent's job is to put the evidence in front of you. Two lessons deal with the agent's output directly: what it assembles for a renewal, and how to review a drafted customer response. The rest is the reading that makes those two useful.

What you will be able to do
- Read a health score as a way to rank attention, and never as a verdict on an account.
- Break net retention into its four levers and name the one actually moving the number.
- Run a weekly at-risk walk where every account leaves with an owner and a date, or a reason it is fine.
- Sequence a renewal book by risk and value rather than by date, and start a quarter ahead.
- Audit the context an agent assembles on the renewals where being wrong is expensive.
- Tell an expansion readiness signal apart from a customer who merely likes you.

Read the health picture
Health scores are a starting point, not a verdict. What the distribution tells you that the average hides.
Prepare the renewal
The renewal book by period, with the value and risk on each — and the preparation that happens before you open the conversation.
Find the expansion
Expansion evidence lives in the account map and the signals on the record, not in a hunch about which customer likes you.
